玄関を開けるとカマキリが扉に止まっていた（張り付くように）のを見付けてちょっとドッキとした。数年前まで平気に触っていたけれど。。。歳のせいかなぁ。そういえば、三日前家の前の道路の真ん中にカマキリがいたので、車にひかれてはかわいそうだから”危ないから”どくように注意して、飛んでいってもらったそのカマキリに今日扉にいたカマキリが似ていたので挨拶にでも来たのかも。しばらくたってまた扉をのぞいてみると。。。カマキリが二匹に増えてました。はい。

When I opened up the front door and discovered that a praying mantis had stopped by on the door (he was clinging to it) I was a little startled. Up until a few years ago I was fine with touching them... maybe it's just old age. Which reminds me, three days ago there was a praying mantis sitting the middle of the road out front my house, and thinking it would be sad for it to be squished by a car I warned it with a "Watch out!", and it flew away for me - well this praying mantis looked very much like the praying mantis that was on my door today, so I maybe he was just coming over to say hi. After a little bit longer... there were two more praying mantis.
